Staying Positive- What can this do for your Success?
Have you ever found yourself in a negative situation and you have tried stating a positive
statement- and afterward you really don’t feel much more positive? I want to invite you
to take a much closer look at the meaning behind the words- staying positive.
Staying positive is so much more than just stating a few positive words or thinking a few
positive thoughts. A person should look deeper than this and try to understand the process
of creating positivity in their life. It’s not enough to just go through the actions, one
must also feel and believe in the power of being positive.
I believe one of the greatest benefits that comes with staying positive is happiness.
I’m sure that you have noticed, if something negative happens in your life it can lead
to sadness. For example- a lot of people have had to deal with loosing a job. This can
cause a lot of emotions to stir up, including sadness. In this situation- if you are focusing
your energy on the negative feelings it can cause problems such as depression, anxiety, not being focused, other health problems, and overall poor quality of life. However, you can turn
a negative situation into a positive force by simply changing how you look at the situation.
In this example- a person has lost their job. A positive outlook on this could be that now
this person has a chance to either find a new job, either making more money or one that they
enjoy more. This can create a positive outlook that would motivate the person to take the actions needed to acomplish this goal. If they are still focusing on the negatives- they might not
take action or not work as hard to find something that they would really enjoy or make more money.
Some other benefits that can be a direct result of staying positive include a sense of better
health, improved relationships, feelings of satisfaction, more confidence, and a better
outlook on life and things that you experience in life. This can help you to become
successful. If you are positive and have all these great attributions to your life from
staying positive then it will help you achieve your goals.
Here are some helpful tips on how you can stay positive.
- Try to flush negative thoughts from you head. If you have a negative thought- immediately stop and think of a positive alternative.
- Surround yourself with positive people.
- Read positive articles and books. Really pay attention to strategies and thoughts of being positive and contemplate how you can impliment into your own life.
- Stay active- when you are active you are helping mentally as well to stay positive.
- Set goals for yourself and focus on you successfully reaching those goals. Prepare mentally for the success and keep a positive “can do” attitude.
- Keep positive and happy thoughts and feelings such as hope and joy in your mind. If you need reminders then post small quotes or notes to yourself around your house or in your car.
Staying positive will have a direct result in your success. Practice these tips daily and you
will start seeing a positive change in you and your life.
